The night we were named first
On 28 August 2026, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Blooms & Gifts was named first in the Top Digitally Fit Gift Shop of the Year category at the Digitally Fit Awards Kenyan Edition. We were in the room when it was read out.
It is a strange thing to be honoured for what you do every single day. Behind the trophy are ordinary mornings: stems trimmed, ribbons tied, card messages tucked in, and orders out the door before the 4PM cutoff so that somebody's mother, sister or best friend opens the door to flowers that same afternoon.
What the award recognises
The Digitally Fit Awards, organised by KEOnline, recognise Kenyan businesses that have built a real presence online and made an impact there.
For a florist, that presence is more than a logo or a follower count. It is a customer overseas choosing a bouquet for someone in Nairobi, a few lines typed into a card message, and a photo landing on WhatsApp the moment the door opens. That is the part of the work we are proudest of.
The people behind first place
A trophy has one name on it, but first place has a lot of hands in it. It belongs to the florists who choose and arrange every stem, the team who answer your WhatsApp messages, and the people who get each order across Nairobi before the day is done.
