A Love Letter in Every Gift

They say everything happens for a reason. At the time, I didn't see it that way.

It was 2020. Life had just started making sense, I had just started earning well, and at 25 I didn't have a plan yet, but I was enjoying my new job. Then the world turned upside down. The pandemic paused life as we knew it. Businesses closed, routines stopped, and people everywhere were trying to figure out what came next. I was one of them. I had just lost a job I genuinely loved.

I'd been working as a salesperson at a flower company, and while on paper it was a sales job, to me it was so much more than that. Every day, I got to witness some of the most beautiful sides of humanity, a husband surprising his wife with flowers for no reason, a daughter sending a bouquet to her mum just to say "I miss you," a friend bringing chocolates and roses to lift someone's spirits. These weren't transactions. They were tiny, powerful expressions of love, gratitude, hope, and care.

That touched me deeply, because gifting has always been part of who I am. It's my love language. I've always believed that a small, thoughtful gesture can say what words sometimes can't, it can comfort, celebrate, heal, or simply remind someone they're thought of.

So when I lost my job, after the initial shock and fear passed, a quiet but strong voice inside me asked: why not create something of your own? Something that carries your love for meaningful gifting. Something that brings people closer, even in uncertain times. That was the beginning of my flowers and gifts business.

I didn't have a perfect plan. I didn't have a fancy setup or big investors. What I had was passion, a strong work ethic, and a heart that genuinely wanted to make people feel something. I started small, a few flower bunches from our local market, and custom gifts made from home. I worked with what was available locally: gift boxes, gift bags, and out of that I built beautiful gift packages with bouquets arranged in one of the rooms in my house. Every single arrangement was handcrafted by me, with care, with purpose, always asking myself: how would I want to feel if I received this? I had a dream.

Slowly but surely, word began to spread. People started noticing that there was something special about the gifts I created, not just the beauty of the flowers or the elegance of the packaging, but the feeling they carried. Each order was a story, a moment, a memory in the making. I took that responsibility seriously.

As the business grew, I stayed true to what mattered most: the human connection behind every product. Whether it's a romantic gesture, a heartfelt apology, a birthday surprise, or a "just because" moment, our flowers, chocolates, and curated gifts are made to speak when words fall short.

Today, this business is more than a job. It's my purpose. It's a reminder that out of uncertainty and loss can come something incredibly beautiful. I wake up every day grateful that I get to be a small part of people's special moments.
